There are many locations Paramount can choose from, with low density builds and an excellent road and rail system servicing the region of Murcia there are certainly a number of locations which will be shortlisted before the final decision is made. Murcia is traditionally an agricultural area with large areas of flat land, rich fertile soils and warm year round temperatures it is little wonder that so much produce is freighted out of Murcia to Northern Europe and hence the reason for the excellent infrastructure of roads and motorways. Large areas of flat land, good road systems and low land values make for an excellent location for a theme park and it seems that Paramount have recognised the potential Murcia has to offer. There are already two international airports which service the region and third is under construction and due for completion in Autumn 2011. Alicante and the Costa Blanca are a mere 100km to the north, Madrid is a four hour drive, and the Costa del Sol a further 4 hours to the south, the reasons for the interest in Murci a is pretty clear. The exciting news will have a dramatic effect on property prices. After a sharp drop over the past couple of years prices have hit the bottom and the smart investors are already snapping up the bargains. Because Murcia is small, the great advantage for the investor is that no matter where you buy your property in the region it will not be more than 40minutes from the new theme park and the rental potential will superb.
